I am in LOVE with these Lincoln Memorial engagement photos with Lydia + Joey!! Lydia reached out to me to capture some engagement photos here in their home of DC since they were having destination wedding in Mexico. They met in high school and when a mutual friend put them in touch, they became an item. They have been together now for 10 years, have the same circle of best friends who are like family, and have a very sassy golden retriever. We had so much fun capturing their love even with the rain and loved getting to walk the streets of DC with Teddy too.
To avoid crowds, we made it a sunrise session and it was SO worth it! There was not another person in sight, we had the whole place to ourselves. Sunrise sessions are definitely not for the faint of heart, but they are worth it every. single. time.
Getting to photograph these two (three including Teddy) on a brisk, rainy morning at the Lincoln Memorial was so wonderful. I just love when I get a madly in love couple in front of my camera. These two are so perfect for each other and I am so happy that I get to have a small part in their story!
