Vanderbilt Mansion Engagement | Shelby + Scott

Engagements

HEY - I'm Sam!

I'm a wedding photographer who is obsessed with love and capturing love stories. (and is also obsessed with her dogs).  If you’re ready to run around fields, laugh and create photos that don't feel stiff and posed, I'm your girl.

This Vanderbilt Mansion engagement session was so much fun! I always love when I get to capture my friends and their love stories. I’ve known Shelby since college and I was SO excited when she reached out asking me to capture her and Scott’s wedding and engagement! We shot their session at the stunning Vanderbilt Mansion + Museum in Long Island NY. Let me say that the setting, the weather, and the sunset were just perfect for our session together. The architecture and boats gave us a European garden feel and it was so much fun getting to stroll through it all together. I loved getting to catch up with Shelby + Scott and getting ready to capture what will be their stunning wedding day! We found some absolutely GORGEOUS backdrops for the photos at the Vanderbilt Mansion. It quickly became one of my favorite session venues ever. I just can’t get over the architecture!

These two are so perfect together it was such a joy to photograph this part of their love story. I simply cannot wait for their wedding day! I’ll be counting down the days.

But until then, keep scrolling to see all of my favorite photos from this session!

HEY - I'm sam!

I have learned that I love to capture the emotion and the connection between people. I love capturing love, capturing the giggles, the snuggles, the kisses. Snatching it all into a frozen frame for you to enjoy later. I couldn't be more thankful that I get to tell love stories of all kinds for my career. And I cannot wait to tell yours
